Integrity web engineers Joshua Ray and Alex Rodriguez will present at the upcoming WordCamp 2012 in St. Louis at a session entitled “How to Build WordPress Themes Like a Jedi Master.” Their session will cover “the art and science of theming WordPress into an optimized CMS that is easy for long-term maintenance, enhancement and client usage.” Part of the developer track, it will be a 40-minute session including a formal presentation and Q&A time.
Concepts covered in their session will include organizing files within a theme, using custom post types and meta boxes and customizing the WordPress Admin.
Both Ray and Rodriguez work in WordPress extensively on a day-to-day basis and specialize in creating custom web solutions for clients. Ray joined Integrity from Yahoo!, and serves as a team lead web engineer. Rodriguez earned an IT degree from the University of Missouri and has served as lead developer for Integrity clients such as Explore St. Louis and Tightline Strategies.
WordCamps are “casual locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress.” The first WordCamp was held in San Francisco in 2006, and this is the second annual St. Louis event.
Integrity is a St. Louis-based digital marketing agency that specializes in custom web design and development solutions, web and mobile application development, digital strategy, branding and reputation management and traffic generation.
