We’re decking the halls early with the new Christmas in St. Louis website
OK, before you say anything, yes, we know it's not even Halloween yet. Yes, we know the holiday season seems to arrive earlier and earlier every year and we are only exacerbating the issue writing about yuletide-y things in October.
That being said ...
There's less than three months until Christmas, and organizations like Christmas in St. Louis have a lot to tackle between now and then. Christmas in St. Louis is a non-profit civic organization that works to boost tourism, shopping, dining and all-around holiday spirit in the St. Louis area. You may not be familiar with their name, but if you've checked out the Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade or the Festival of Lights, you've definitely been to their events.
Christmas in St. Louis's previous website wasn't accomplishing its goals of promoting their holiday events and simplifying the parade application process. So they paid a visit to Integrity (we can neither confirm nor deny Old Saint Nick himself recommended us), and we got to work building them a modern web experience.
The result is a site that'll get even the most sardonic Scrooge in the holiday spirit. There are clean, well-organized landing pages for every Christmas in St. Louis event and an email signup to stay in the loop. The photo gallery features dozens of images from past events. Users can easily find helpful links to learn more about St. Louis shopping, dining, accommodations and attractions. And for the most diehard Christmas fans, there's even a countdown clock to remind you exactly how much time is left until Santa lands on your roof.
We opted for a bright, cheerful, visual design complete with a CSS3 animated snowfall and an updated logo. The site is fully responsive, so mobile and tablet users won't be left out in the cold, so to speak.
For the site admins, we leveraged our favorite content management system, WordPress, so they can make content changes faster than Blitzen after three gingerbread lattes.
If strategic, data-driven web design is on your wish list, you've come to the right place. Contact us and let us slide down your chimney with our bag full of awesome.
